Track asphalt background

Track setup — Victoria Z8

Optimised suspension geometry, corner weights, tyre and ECU calibrations for lap time consistency on Victorian circuits.

Recommended for Z8 owners seeking reproducible lap times and tyre life balance.

Engineer leading setup

Lead engineer: Marcus Li — track setup specialist (AUS circuits)

Overview

Our Victoria Z8 track package focuses on creating a balanced baseline for lap consistency. We optimise corner weights, spring and damper rates, anti-roll distribution, tyre pressures and ECU response tailored to your circuit preference — whether tight technical or flowing sectors.

  • Corner-weighting and static geometry setup
  • Progressive damper tuning and spring selection
  • ECU mapping for on-track throttle response and safety margins
Quick facts

Location: Richmond workshop, Victoria (track setup transport available)

Session time: 3–5 hours typical

Includes: baseline dyno read (if needed), chassis checks, setup report

Setup breakdown

Chassis & suspension

We start with safety and alignment checks, followed by ride-height and corner-weighting. We then iterate damper and anti-roll adjustments until the car shows neutral and predictable transitions.

  • Corner weights +/- 0.5 kg target
  • Camber/Toe tailored per tyre and track
  • Damper valving tuned for frequency response
Tyres & brakes

Tyre compound selection and pressures are matched to temperature and track. Brake bias and cooling checks ensure repeatability across sessions.

ItemTypical spec
Front pressures26–30 psi (hot)
Rear pressures24–28 psi (hot)
Brake bias60–62% front (adjustable)
Camber-2.2° to -2.8° front (track)

Technical notes & baseline data

Baseline telemetry and tyre camber/pressure logs are included in the handover. We provide clear before/after comparisons and recommendations for ongoing adjustments.

Baseline targets
  • Corner-weight distribution: 52–54% front (car dependent)
  • Ride height tolerance: +/- 3 mm
  • Damper valving: matched to sprung mass and expected track temperatures
Deliverables
  • Setup report PDF
  • Tyre pressure & temperature logs
  • Recommended parts list (springs/dampers/anti-roll)

Common questions

Yes — we offer trackside setup assistance and data review packages for specific events; travel fees apply depending on location.

A comprehensive setup typically takes 3–5 hours depending on checks required and whether dyno/telemetry runs are needed.

Basic driveability adjustments for track response are included. Full power remaps are an optional add-on and quoted separately.
